The brief
Right before finals season, Sallie Mae wanted to show up for stressed-out students as more than a loan company. The idea was a lo-fi album that actually helps you focus, released on Spotify and YouTube.
The sound
We executive produced 17 original tracks with Gen Z artists including Jay Som, Toledo, Isaac Dunbar, and Ariza. Every track sits between 50 and 80 BPM, the tempo range that helps you focus, and the album is sequenced around the Pomodoro technique: 25-minute study sprints, then five-minute breaks to get up and groove.
